Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller people face numerous barriers when attempting to access healthcare and mental health support services, leading to worsened health inequalities, premature death, and reduced life expectancy. Addressing these critical issues, Friends, Families and Travellers, one of the UOK’s key partners, collaborated with the Roma Support Group under the VCSE Health and Wellbeing Alliance to produce an important new report titled “Tackling Mental Health Inequalities for Gypsy, Roma and Traveller People”.
This report explores the prevalent mental ill-health experiences in the community and offers essential insights for fostering better engagement between mental health services and these communities.
