Join Fabrica’s free ‘Renew & Repurpose’ workshops for women, running October 16 – November 6, 2024. Explore creativity as a means to mental wellbeing in a supportive environment.
We are excited to highlight one of our brilliant partners, Fabrica, who has launched an innovative series of workshops to empower women through creative reuse. Their upcoming event, Renew & Repurpose for Women, is designed to provide a safe and inclusive space where women can explore sustainability while fostering their creativity.
The workshops, running from October 16th to November 6th, 2024, will focus on practical upcycling techniques that transform everyday household materials into functional items. Led by skilled facilitators, these sessions offer an opportunity for participants to reconnect with their creativity while supporting well-being and sustainability practices.
This initiative aligns with our shared mission to promote mental health and wellbeing through meaningful, hands-on activities that bring communities together. We encourage women from all walks of life to participate, particularly those who may benefit from a creative outlet as a way of managing stress or building social connections.

Brighton BN11EE - Cost: Sessions are free to participants on low income or jobseekers allowance with a suggested cost of £18/£36 per course if able to contribute. They do ask that participants attend all 6 sessions.
Tutor: Amber Bailry
Amber Bailey formerly trained in furniture conservation and restoration with a specialism in marquetry before studying French marquetry at the prestigious École Boulle, Paris.

As a part of UOK’s network, Fabrica also runs a free community workshop space for adult men in Brighton and Hove, which includes space for woodwork, arts and crafts.
