HERA has announced it’s Art for Belonging programme which is designed to support migrants and minoritised communities through challenges such as health inequalities, ageing, long-term health conditions, loneliness and mental health. UOK is proud to have partners like HERA that the focus on offerings for minoritised communities.
The group is delivered in a small, welcoming and culturally informed group setting. Art for Belonging will deliver free arts and crafts sessions to explore what it means to belong, establish a new life and stay connected to one’s culture and traditions.
This group is based at the BMECP Centre 10:30am-12:30pm on the following dates:

The Healing, Expressive and Recovery Arts Project (HERA) is a network of programmes using art and creativity to enhance the quality of life, health and wellbeing of people living with health concerns. Hera activities are FREE for anyone in the city living with long-term physical and/or mental health conditions.
The HERA arts project at WellBN is a network of programmes using the arts and creative practices that enhance the quality of life, health and wellbeing of clients, staff and community. They provide access to high-quality arts activity. These activities are specifically designed to improve the functional health and wellbeing of participants whether they are suffering from physical or mental illness or a combination of both. HERA are happy to take referrals to the programme for anyone who lives with one or more long-term health conditions (physical/mental) – and you can refer directly.
