Finding Your Way is a six-week free employability course by the Trust for Developing Communities that is due to start in September.
Trust for Developing Communities in collaboration with the Brighton & Hove City Council, is offering a free six-week course designed to help adults enhance their employability, explore volunteering opportunities, and pursue further learning. Titled “Finding Your Way…”, this initiative aims to empower participants with essential skills to navigate their career paths and life goals.
Course content
Participants will delve into a variety of topics, including:
- Identifying personal strengths and leveraging them effectively
- Goal setting and planning for a successful transition into work
- Strategies for maintaining motivation and resilience
- Understanding the benefits of volunteering
- Crafting compelling job applications and CVs
- Developing strong interviewing skills and techniques
Eligibility:
Students need to be Brighton and Hove City Council residents and should not be working to be eligible for the course.

Start date: 11th September, 2024
Every Wednesday, 10 am – 1pm
Location: Wellbeing Hub in Preston Park, located at 18 Preston Park Avenue, BN1 6HL
Lunch will be provided. Travel and childcare costs can be covered as well.
