The Ageing Well Brighton & Hove Annual Festival 2024 Kicks off

The two-week long festival will run from Friday 27th September to Friday 11th October 2024.

The Ageing Well Brighton and Hove annual festival provides opportunities for people aged 50 and over to explore new experiences and meet new people. The festival is a celebration of Brighton and Hove as a City in which to age well, to highlight the many activities that help reduce isolation and increase wellbeing in the older population.

The Festival allows event organisers to put on special events and activities tailored for individuals aged 50 and above, taking place at various venues across Brighton and Hove. Coinciding with the United Nations designated International Day of Older Persons on October 1st, this festival has been organised by Impact Initiatives, on behalf of Brighton and Hove City Council, since 2013. Over the years, the festival has evolved and expanded, reaching more people and offering an improved experience each year.

With a packed and diverse program of events, the festival aims to inspire older individuals to actively participate in the vibrant Brighton and Hove community.

From mindfulness events to sunsetwildlife cruise, storytelling and arts workshop to birdbox creating workshops, slow motion strength training to makeup demonstration for older people – the festival have amazing events lined up.
