On the 28th of November, we gathered to celebrate a significant milestone for UOK Brighton & Hove – five years of dedication to mental health support in our community. The event was a heartfelt celebration of the network’s achievements and the transformative impact it has had on many lives. As a Lead Provider of the network, we are so proud of everything that we have achieved together with our partners.
The event brought together UOK Brighton & Hove partners, clients, and colleagues from across Southdown. It was an occasion not only to acknowledge the successes of the past five years but also to share personal stories of triumph and resilience.

One of the highlights of the event was hearing from two members of Southdown’s Recovery College and a client and volunteer from Trust for Developing Communities. Their stories of transformation and hope were deeply moving, illustrating the impact of community support. As one of them shared, the support they received “literally saved their lives.”
We also had an opportunity to showcase our 5-year Impact Report as a snapshot of our achievements and the difference we have made in the community over the past five years.
