Wellbeing Centres

About the service and what to expect

Southdown‘s seven Wellbeing Centres, located across East Sussex, provide a range of community-based mental health and wellbeing support to enable you to get well, stay well and prevent crisis.

The Centres are part of a network of mental health recovery support, called the East Sussex Community Network.

Their team of friendly, trained Recovery Workers and Peer Support Workers (people with lived experience of mental health challenges) will work with you to develop a personalised wellbeing plan and support you to access activities and groups at the Centres and in your local community.

When I visited, I was struck by the commitment, warmth and experience of the team and its warm, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.”

Group support

They offer a wide variety of person-centred groups that are offered online and face-to-face, within their Centres and in outdoor locations.

Group activities range from walking, yoga, mindfulness, stress management, peer social support groups and much more. Timetable is regularly reviewed and adjusted in line with feedback from our clients.

They can also offer you one to one sessions during assessment if needed to support you to attend group sessions.

Centre activity timetables can be viewed and downloaded from the Downloads section at the bottom of this page.
